Doing more of what I love

As a young adult, I had the nickname 'Auntie Katherine'. I had a tendency to take on other people's problems and focus all my efforts on others.

This didn’t work brilliantly for me. It was a contributing factor to me getting Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and spending a few years out of action. Having since understood the importance of taking care of myself in addition to others, I have not lost the love of listening, coaching and helping people. So I was really excited to launch KM Talent in August – a recruitment, coaching, and training business, enabling me to offer more of what I love.

As I regularly meet job seekers, it is evident that career coaching can add significant value to many. Job searching can be daunting, even overwhelming. Some people feel stuck in their job or industry. Others feel they’re at a career crossroads and don’t know which way to go. They may have lost their confidence due to working in an unsupportive environment. Or they realise that job searching is a rarely utilised skill and they need help navigating job applications, resume writing, and interviews.

So I am excited to offer coaching programs to address these issues and support professionals through their career transition journey. Tailored to individual needs, the focus will typically be on one or many of the following. Sessions are conducted face to face or via Skype.

  • Career Clarity

  • Confidence building

  • Find your market position

  • Job search strategy

  • Opportunity identification

  • Leveraging LinkedIn

  • Resume writing

  • Networking techniques

  • Cover letters

  • Interview skills

If you feel stuck, unsure about what next or lack confidence, I would be delighted to talk to you about how career coaching might help.
